April Is STI Awareness Month!

STI awareness
Keep your lady parts in check!

Every year there are more than 19 million new cases of STIs in the U.S. You can get these types of infections by having intimate sexual contact with someone who already has an infection. Often times STIs have no symptoms at all, so many people have no idea they have one, sometimes until it is too late.

An untreated STI can have lasting health effects and we recommend getting tested. If you don’t, your chances of infertility or risk of cancer are increased. Check with your doctor to see how often you should be tested.

If you don’t have a regular doctor, finding a testing center near you is quick and easy. Enter your zip code in the testing center locator at www.GYTNOW.org or text your zip code to GYTNOW(498669) on your mobile phone to receive information. Simple. Easy. Done.
