Live Rite Shake Of The Month: Grapefruit Paradise

It may not be summer yet, but you can let this grapefruit protein shake take you to a tropical paradise!

Ingredients:

  • 5 strawberries
  • 1/2 a chopped grapefruit
  • 1 scoop vanilla Live Rite protein powder
  • 3oz grapefruit juice
  • 3oz seltzer water

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except for seltzer water in a blender.
  2. Pulse blend for about 1 minute, until a “slushie” consistency is reached.
  3. Stir in seltzer.
  4. Enjoy!

Before you get there, make sure to mix up this great Live Rite shake that will give you tons of energy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 scoop vanilla Live Rite protein powder
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients until they are smooth.
  2. Enjoy!

  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 1/2 cup chopped FRESH pineapple
  • 1/2 a chopped green apple
  • 1 scoop vanilla Live Rite protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon Almond meal *for some extra “uumph”
  • 6oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk

Blend all ingredients until smooth, and drink before or after your boot camp class!

  • 4oz Carrot Juice 
  • 1/2 a frozen Banana (cubed)
  • 1 scoop vanilla Liverite vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tbsp Flax or Chia seeds
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 
  • a dash of cinnamon 
  • a dash of Nutmeg

Blend & enjoy!!

  • 7 raspberries
  • 7 blueberries
  • 7 strawberries
  • 1 scoop vanilla Live Rite
  • 6oz skim milk
  • 6 ice cubes

Directions

  1. Chop fruit and add all ingredients to blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Enjoy!

Red Velvet Protein ShakeWhether you love Valentine’s Day or want to shoot Cupid with an arrow of your own, this Red Velvet shake will give you the energy to make the most out of today; whatever your motivation.

Ingredients:

  • 6oz. Skim milk
  • 10 drops red food coloring
  • 2 teaspoons chocolate syrup
  • 1 scoop Chocolate Liverite protein powder
  • 1/8 cup red velvet cake mix

Now let’s get started:

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/3 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 scoop vanilla Live Rite protein powder
  • 1/2 cup fat free Greek Yogurt (vanilla or lemon)
  • 4oz cup carrot juice
  • 2oz water
  • pulp from 1/2 a Meyer lemon (they are much sweeter than regular lemons)

Instructions:

1. Scoop pulp from 1/2 a Meyer lemon.
2. Combine with remaining ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth.
3. Enjoy!

Live Rite Shake: Rootin-Tootin Rambutan

rambutan  protein shakeI discovered this uniquely sweet fruit at the Union Square market and was intrigued by its red prickly skin.

Little did I know that it would contain a soft sweet pulp that was absolutely delicious!

Ingredients

  • pulp from 2 Rambutan
  • 1 scoop vanilla Live Rite protein powder
  • 6oz plain almond milk (or skim)

Directions

1. Slice Rambutan in half to remove inner pulp.
2. Chop pulp into bite sized pieces.
3. Combine all ingredients and blend.
4. Enjoy!
