1. Summer is all about tank top arms. Which celebrity’s arms would you love to have?

Angelina Jolie from her Tomb Raider days! She has long lanky limbs and they looked so amazing when she played that kick butt role!

2. We’re gearing up to pull our bikinis out of storage. What 5 songs are great for those long sessions at the gym?

3. There are so many great fruits and vegetables during the Spring season. What are you adding to your meals?

Asparagus is at it’s best right now! I love tossing them with some lemon zest, shallots, vinegar and oil then grilling them! They also make a delicious asparagus soup with a little creme fréche and crostini! Strawberries are great marinated in balsamic vinegar and paired with light cool whip or mixes into a green salad with pecans. I also love a beet salad with toasted hazelnuts and burrata or a simple arugula salad with cherry tomatoes and parmesan!

4. May is skin cancer prevention month. What products do you use to protect yourself from the sun’s harsh rays?

I always wear a daily 30 SPF by a family dermatologist on my face so I don’t break out from it, and on my body I am obsessed with the smell of Ocean Potion’s sunscreens! They are lemony and mix great with my daily lotion from Fresh. For freckle-prone areas I use a Neutrogena 50 liquid sunscreen. Oh and hats and sunglasses don’t hurt!

5. If you could only do one outdoor exercise for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Hiking! I love being out in nature- it doesn’t even feel like I’m ‘exercising’ I enjoy the scenery so much- Even when huffing and puffing up a mountain :)

1. Which celebrities do you think have killer legs?

Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna have killer legs. They’re strong, long and sexy!

2. What 5 songs keep you pushing through a hard boot camp workout when you want to quit?

3. It’s National Nutrition Month. How do you sneak in fruits and vegetables throughout the day?

It is also the beginning of Spring and California has amazing Farmer’s Market produce right now! I hit the Farmer’s Markets around town at the beginning of the week and grab whatever is ripe at the moment! I bring it home and wash them off. Then I chop or store them in baggies or Tupperware and snack on my finds throughout the week or toss stuff in with my meals! This week I grabbed some sprouted legumes and tossed them in a chopped salad for dinner last night.

4. We’re super excited for colorful skinny jeans. What spring trends are you excited to rock?

Spring in California is like summer, so I’m excited to rock some colorful cutoffs! I also love all the fun bright gem necklaces that you can throw on with a casual t-shirt and brighten your look!

5. We love boot camp and chickboxing. What are your favorite workouts?

I am a huge fan of chickboxing! Great to blow off some steam the healthy way! Hiking in the spring time and planks in the park are both great ways to enjoy nature and get in shape! I also love using resistance bands at home while catching up on my favorite shows!

1. Which celebrities do you think have killer abs?

Victoria’s Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel! She has a nice flat stomach while maintaining a great feminine shape! Gotta luv a supermodel’s abs! Also Spice Girl & X Factor Host Mel B has a killer six pack at all times- even after 3 children (major kudos!), and I am a sucker for Cameron Diaz’s tight abs!

2. What 5 songs are a must for a hard run on the treadmill?

Lounge 11. Who is your celebrity fitspiration?

My friend and Spice Girl/X Factor Host Mel B! Mel is the true definition of ‘Girl Power’: Brains, beauty and brawn! Mel has not only made a name for herself as a performer and a host, but as a fitness role-model for women of all ages.

Her killer abs and hard work in the gym has launched video games like “Get Fit with Mel B” on Playstation, a DVD series entitled “Totally Fit: Mel B”, a recent campaign with Jenny Craig post baby, a stint on Dancing with the Stars and much more. Not to mention she has managed to keep her incredible physique after having 3 adorable kids!!

Mel has tapped me to create custom mixes for her workouts and loves my upbeat mashup mixes to keep her going on her treadmill runs and nature hikes! Mel is a fitspiration to all women because she sets healthy, attainable and reasonable goals and works hard to achieve them while juggling a busy schedule and a family!
