On Sunday April 21st, Lucille Roberts held the 1st Annual Lucille’s Luxury Lounge in support of the EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women at Chateau Cherbuliez in the Limelight Marketplace.

Upon arrival guests were handed the cocktail of the afternoon, the “Lucille,” made up of champagne and a splash of Vitamin Water for extra color and taste!

While snacking on popchips, attendees were treated to spa experience including massages from Champion Medical Services, manicures from The Nail Boutique and hair-styling and eyebrow shaping from Idalias Salon.

What event would be complete without giveaways? Here are the winners by the numbers:

After raising over $1,000 for cancer research, it was time for the event to end. All attendees left with fabulous Lucille Roberts tote bags packed with goodies from Vitamin Water, popchips, weightlifting gloves and water bottles from Precore, protein bars from BARRE, flavored peas from World Peas, freeze-dried fruit from Funky Monkey, cold prevention medicine from Zicam and the May issue of SHAPE magazine.

The event was a success and we look forward to next year’s!

Lucille Roberts Sponsors the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women

Created in 1994 through the committed and collective efforts of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, Lilly Tartikoff and Ronald O. Perelman, the EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women has grown to become one of the nation’s largest single day fundraising events.

To date, the Run/Walks (in Los Angeles and New York) have distributed over $68 million for cancer research, treatment, counseling and outreach programs. Thanks in part to these funds, new treatments are being developed and lives are being saved.

The EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women is a wonderful opportunity to come out and participate with Lucille Roberts in stomping out women’s cancers. What are you doing on May 4th? Joining us in Times Square, right? We want you to join us, please sign up at www.revlonrunwalk.org or call 855.434.3779.

Recap: EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women

May 8, 2012 at 5:21 pm

Participants gather at the start line early Saturday morning.

This past Saturday, Lucille Roberts was thrilled to be a part of the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women. In the month of April, many of our class instructors donated their time to teach special classes at our gyms. Members contributed a small donation to take the classes, and every single dollar was donated to the run/walk, which raises money to support research for women’s cancer.

Saturday morning’s events began in Times Square, where a huge crowd of 50,000 people gathered for the opening ceremonies. Reporters from Telemundo interviewed audience members, who shared touching stories of how their lives or the lives of loved ones had been affected by cancer.

Then, instructors from Lucille Roberts led the crowd in a Zumba warm-up to prepare for the 5K run/walk.

Actresses Oliva Wilde and Emma Stone also spoke onstage about women among their families or friends who had been affected by cancer. And Jimmy Fallon made an energetic appearance to officially kick off the start of the run/walk as red and white confetti fell over the starting line.

Diet Tip: Want Results? Sign Up for a Race!

March 2, 2012 at 3:40 pm

It’s running season again! Every year when it gets close to spring, people start registering for upcoming races. Maybe this year you should consider it!

A race is a great way to get results because it gives you a goal date to accomplish something. It doesn’t have to be a big race; it can even be as short 5k (3.1 miles), like the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women happening May 5 in New York. Proceeds go to support research on women’s cancers. (Lucille Roberts is a sponsor, and we’ll be leading the warm-up on the day of the race!) Even if you aren’t a runner, you can start your training with fast-paced walking and then progress to intervals of walking and running. You’ll work your way up to running the whole distance in no time!

Just because you are preparing for a race, you don’t have to give up toning and zumba classes. Continuing these classes will be good for conditioning your muscles, keeping you in shape, and getting you closer to your goal. This may even help you get your healthy eating on track. The better your performance gets, the more likely you are to want to take care of your body.

So, this spring, consider giving yourself a little challenge–sign up for a race!
