Rather than running out to pick up the usual grease soaked pizza (even though they are delicious), why not stay home and make your own concoction?
Try a low carb flax and Parmesan pizza that you can top with whatever you’d like. This pie uses flax seeds for the crust, in which the only carbs you get are from the fiber in the flax! Try this nutritious cheese pizza recipe and skip the calorie count:
- 1 cup flax meal (ground flax seeds)
- 1/2 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs
Melissa, from I Breathe…I’m Hungry, topped her pizza with sausage, sauteed mushrooms, cooked broccoli, red sauce and a mix of provolone and mozzarella cheeses. But you can use whatever toppings you are in the mood for.
