Why Your Fitness Instructor Isn’t Doing The Workout

One of the best parts about Lucille Roberts are our awesome classes! Whether you’re a Zumba lover or a Boot Camp babe, these workouts would be nothing without our instructors.

If you’ve taken any of our pre-choreographed, cardio-based classes you’ve probably noticed that our trainers are usually right along side of you doing the workouts. However, this is not the case for all, such as our new HIIT class. Ever wonder why?

It’s not that our trainers are lazy or don’t want to sweat. Fit With Flash breaks down the reasons why your instructor may not be sweating it out next to you:

1. Class is for YOU, not us.

This workout is for you, the participant. It’s not for the instructor. Instructors do their workouts on their own time. This is YOUR time. YOUR workout. The instructor has planned it with a certain goal (i.e. build YOUR strength, sculpt YOUR abs, burn YOUR calories, improve YOUR performance, etc). They’re showing you what to do, how to do it, then keeping track of everything from music, to time, to technique, to class energy, etc. Sure we will demonstrate the exercises and do a few reps, but don’t expect us to turn on beast mode and get after it while everybody else watches. It’s not about us.

These reasons make it clear: it’s YOUR workout, not theirs. Our trainers want to see you do well and reach your fitness goals!
