5 On-The-Go Healthy Snacks

These days we’re all constantly on the move and can often find ourselves skipping a much needed meal.

So rather than hearing your stomach rumble, keep energized throughout the day by tossing a couple of these healthy, on-the-go snacks in your bag:

1. Carrot sticks - Paired with humus, this veggie is sure to please. Enjoy when you’re feeling like something with a crunch.

2. Clementines - Easy to stash in your bag, this tasty fruit is a popular mid-day snack.

3. Trail mix - Munching on this guilt-free snack throughout the day will help keep your energy up. You can pick some up at the store or make your own. Yummy nuts and raisins are popular add-ins.

4.Cheese - Overeating can be tempting so controlling your portions is vital. 1 ounce of string cheese is a great snack option that is already portioned out. Laughing Cow Mini Babybel and string cheese are types we recommend.

5. Nutrition bar - With a variety of products to choose from,  be on the lookout for bars that contain less than 200 calories and compare the nutritional labels. You’ll want to choose one with more fiber, less sugar, and adequate protein (about 5 to 10 g). Try Kind or Kashi bars!
